WOW....Reading Mike's tribute just makes SO MUCH MORE SENSE NOW about our dear Mike who liked to keep a little bit of mystery to his character. I feel so much better now knowing just how smart he really was. Now we knew Mike was smart there was no doubt about that but, now I don't feel so bad having to Google some of our conversation topics. LOL I worked with Mike 10 years here at Applied Materials often on a daily basis and he was our "Go To Guy" and yes, we are crying without him in more ways than one. Mike was Gold! It truly was my pleasure to have had the opportunity to work with Mike for so long no matter what he put me through to amuse himself. I'm also glad that I often let him know that I really appreciated him and all he does for us. He liked to play with us here in the Badge Room. He thought it was funny! Sometimes we'd have to huddle up to read and re-read his IM's to see if we can figure out his topic before all the pieces came together in a conversation. LOL In fact, Mike became a training topic for those who were trained in the badge room. After everything was taught ....I'd have to say there was one more subject that you will need to learn slowly and by experience and that is Mike Sanford. LOL Don't worry, I assured them, very soon you will be a fan too but, expect to be put through some tests while he initiates you. We have all been initiated by Mike. LOL He's going to appear very serious but, don't let that fool you. When you get your first funny moment from Mike....You're in! Without fail Mike earned the utmost respected of our Security Team. We feel his absence everyday....I know I definitely do. With a heavy heart I also have great memories of friend named Mike .....and his dog named Pip!
